Woo-hoo! We're bringing back one of our best! Great Moments in Vinyl plays U2's The Joshua Tree at The Venue on March 24th!
In 1980, Bono told Rolling Stone magazine that he believed U2 would someday have a place in rock history alongside The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Who. At the time, we all smirked at such a brash claim. But by the end of 2007, with 16 albums to U2’s credit, 22 Grammy Awards won, more than 30 years together, and close to 200 million albums sold,…we can now say with certainty that Bono was right.
Join us at The Venue when Great Moments in Vinyl pays tribute to U2. From the surging momentum of “I Will Follow” to the cascading harmonies at the end of “Gloria” to the slow burn of “With or Without You” to the cathartic release of “”Pride (In the Name of Love)”, we’ll bring you the hits and highlights of one of the most inspiring bands in music.
Featuring vocalist Steve Taylor with guitarists Bill Grady and Jeremy Peters accompanied by drummer Jim Barclay with bandleader William Lindsey Cochran playing bass and telling the stories about the music and the musicians who created it.
