Ambition may be the path to success, but persistence is the vehicle you arrive in. It’s a great insight from someone who should know: former professional basketball player and three-time U. S. Senator Bill Bradley. But there’s no one in the world of rock who proves the point as conclusively as Bob Seger.
The Detroit native first started getting noticed for his music in the late ‘60s. But he put out eight albums for three different record companies before finally connecting with a national audience with his first live release. And that extra boost was all Bob Seger needed for his next studio album, Night Moves, to become his career-making breakthrough.
Remarkably, the man’s been making music for six decades. Talk about persistence!
Join us as we bring you the hits and the highlights of that long tenure in rock when we pay tribute to Bob Seger at the Joliet Area Historical Museum on Friday, April 7th. It’ll be a night of “Old Time Rock ‘n’ Roll.”
